It is considered that pregnancy in dogs can be quite daunting to detect. This is because a majority of owners would want to know the signs and symptoms of pregnancy in their dogs so that they can forge ahead to provide them with proper health care. However, if you are not in a position to take your dog to the vet and you suspect that she is pregnant, there are signs and symptoms that you need to look out for. Here are some of them.

 Firstly, it is imperative to ensure that you have paid ample attention on the eating habits that your dog exhibits. In case a dog is pregnant, she will have decreased appetite. On the other hand, if she happens to be inactive in her favorite chow, it means that it is having morning sickness.

 If your dog happens to have vaginal discharge, it is simply a sign of pregnancy.

 The dog may have teats that are enlarged and the nipples may be engorged in order to prepare for the incoming pup.

 He dog will tend to change her behavior in that, she may appear to be inactive, uncomfortable and may be restless.

 Her stomach may appear to be enlarged meaning that there are puppies that are already forming in her stomach. In most cases, if you feel her stomach, you will feel the puppies’ movements.

 Lastly, you can check out for any signs of nesting. In most cases, if a dog is pregnant, she will ted to scratch the floor or even blankets with an aim of fluffing them.
